These four montages were commissioned by Alex Leslie for her Vancouver For Beginners website (in the works), a digital extension of her brilliant book of poems of the same name, published by Book*hug Press.
Because there were four sections, I assigned a zodiac sign/element to each, as a starting point. I tried to maintain the look of hand made collage (used Preview, not Photoshop), and added various pieces of previously published illustrations to animate them a little. The photos used are my own and many more can be found on the site. Titles are by the writer.
